pull ups

I wanted some pointers

Friday, March 16th, 2007

I have to say that I have read the booklet and this is an excellent way of potty training children. I actually bought it because my 3 year old daughter is in the process of potty training now since she was just over 2 and it’s been a struggle mostly from my part because i’m just haven’t been consistant enough and sending her mixed messages. I also have a 6 year old and he was a struggle as well and a 4 month old who I will be using this method with when the time comes. But I bought the booklet because I wanted some pointers and see what i’m doing wrong. Since she’s been soing very well this past week I jsut took some of the ideas from you and are using it with what I have been doing. I love the way you give people what to say to their kids because a lot of times parents just don’t realize what they are saying to their children is wrong.

She has been using pull ups at nap and bedtime. But her nap was dry and I tried to put her on the toilet right when she woke up and she didn’t have to go and stayed dry for over an hour after. So now we are trying bedtime and I have a reward for her in the morning. But the odest thing about this whole experience is that my daughter has been telling me when she has to use the toilet in public at the store or where ever and used the public potties no problem so I realized that I needed a little boost at home and it was really time for her. So I want to thank you for the wonderful booklet and even though I didn’t follow it exactly with my daughter since she was on her way, I will definetly follow it with my youngest when the time comes and it won’t take a year as it has with my first 2.

Once again sorry for any inconvience before and thank for getting this out to me as soon as you could. I thought you just had a business and didn’t realize you had so many children you were caring for.

WOW!

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Lora,

I just have to tell you “WOW” we had church today and I had to give it a lot
of thought not taking Bohdan because I wasn’t sure if he was ready (potty
training). Our service is 2 hours long and Bohdan stayed dry the whole time
(I was asking him to tell me if he needed to go) “WOW” My husband and I then
took the kids out for lunch where Bohdan told us three times he had to go to
the bathroom !!!!! By this evening Bohdan is actually tells us when he has
to go making it (4 pee’s and 2 poops on the potty this evening).

I can’t express how lost for words I am, I thought Bohdan would never get it
because of some main reason please see below,

  • Very stubborn
  • Still having a little bit of a hard time communicating
  • Was very afraid of the potty

But after reading your book and using the techniques, it made it easier than
I ever thought possible!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong the first day or two was a
little hard having to stay right with him and catching him in the middle of
accidents, everyone kept telling me he’s not going to get it, he’s too
young, he’s going through too many underwear, my favorite go to the store
and him pull-ups.

I stuck to my guns and told everyone not to use negative talk around Bohdan
and myself and that Bohdan was a very smart boy that just need the
confidence and his mama to understand and read his signs.

Thanks a million, I know everyday will be easier. My husband and I are going
to Mexico next weekend and my mom is very happy I did this now and is
prepared for any accidents and I will be ready for any set-back when we
return in 1 week.

She Ran To The Bathroom And Announced That She Went Poopy

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007

Hi Lora,

So, it worked!! :o) We finally got the potty training thing down - in about 3 and half days or so. Even poopy! She had one accident in her underwear. Then during dinner that same day, she runs to the bathroom and annoucned that she went poopy. We went NUTS!!! We were so excited. She must have had the runs that day too b/c she went like 3-4x that night and did great. Thanks so much for publishing your potty training method - we are thrilled not to have to buy pull-ups anymore. Now, do you have a fool proof method for bedtime??? lol

Thanks again!! :)

The Cost of The eBook Was The Best Money I’ve Spent In A While

Saturday, January 13th, 2007

Hi Lora,

Just wanted to send you an e-mail and say “THANK YOU” for your ebook and support when I felt like it wasn’t working. I am sitting here now on day 6 and on day 4 1/2 Reese just got it. I guess, as you said, she realized I was serious and she started telling me “potty run” and she’s even told me when we are out and about and after being down 5-10 minutes at rest time.

The cost of the ebook was the best money I’ve spent in a while. I needed someone to say it was OK to “just do it” and go into panties versus waiting for “her to be ready” and “for her to tell me” when I knew the only reason she wasn’t interested was because of a power struggle and being 2 not that she wasn’t physically ready. Had I waited I was seeing myself with an almost 3 year old who threw a fit and cried if she saw panties or pull ups and who still wore diapers only out of control and who wants to be changing a 3 year olds diaper… not me.

Anyway… I’m probably rambling but again just wanted to say thank you. And I don’t know if you know when someone clicks through from an ad but I saw your ad for your site on BabyCenter.com and it was perfect timing for us.

Sincerely,

Alisa - a happy mommy to a potty trained, panty wearing 25 month old
Reese - a happy 25 month old who know wants even put her panties on by herself

P.S. Feel free to use an or part of this e-mail as a testimonial because I will definitely be recommending your ebook to everyone I know.

I Think It’s Already “Clicked” for Laith (Our Son)

Saturday, December 16th, 2006

Lora!

I am so excited to report that we started your system today and it’s working! Amazing. I think it’s already “clicked” for Laith (our son) about the potty. This morning, I found he had a wet pull-up from sleeping the night. But, I still decided to start the system today. Like you said, at 32 mths, he is old enough to be trained.

One hour after his first accident and 3 hours after officially starting, he was looking for a place to hide. I asked if he had to use the potty. He said, “potty” and walked towards his potty. We took down his pants and sat him on the toilet. he started to go and probably output 4 oz. You can imagine the excitement my partner and I showed him. He was very proud of himself.

Now, he comes to me, takes me by the hand and says “potty.” I take down his pants, sit him on the potty, and he goes. Afterward, he says, “okay, put pants back on.” :-)

I don’t want to get too overly enthusiastic but we are greatly encouraged. We even called his grandmother at work and had her praise him. I can’t believe how simple yet effective your system is.

I will keep you posted on the progression. The next challenge is to see how he goes #2. And, then, eventually, how he fares going outdoors.

Thank you so much,
Asya and Nate
