Holding pee for long periods of time

Thank you for your reply. Another question. My son is now holding his pee for long periods of time. He is back at daycare today. They are taking him to the potty with the boys so he feels more comfortable but still doesn’t want to release. At least he isn’t having any accidents but I don’t want him to get an UTI. Any tips to get him to release on the potty? Thank you! Also how do I get him to not wet during the night? He doesn’t wake up at all when he wets to tell me he needs to go. (He is still in a crib). He has always been that way. Even with a poopy diaper he will sleep right through it. I even have a video monitor so I watch and he doesn’t get up. Any suggestions? Thank you.

He wanted a diaper back on

Thank you! He was dry this morning when he got up. He pottied just a little bit when he first got up. I had to run my 5 year old to school. I told him to tell me if he had to potty, so we stopped and he pottied again, just a little bit. We got home and playing together. I saw him grab himself and I asked him to go sit on the potty. He said no, he wanted a diaper back on. He got up and I followed him asking him to go on the potty, he went into our bedroom and shut the door. I had the potty in my hand, but it was too late, he was going I took off his underwear and sat him on the potty. I didn’t get upset with him. My concern is that he’s saying he wants to put on diapers again?? Have you had any children do that? Am I pushing too much? Thank you for your responses!

Firstly a massive thank you! 2 days and Samuel is potty trained and going through the night dry whereas two days ago we had to change him middle of the night as he was wetting through!! Thank you thank you!! Only last hurdle… how do I get him to poo in the potty/toilet? He keeps going into the playroom so I am not sure what to do? Much love and thanks again! x

Tips for transitioning from potty chair to toilet

Dear Lora,

Success! Meghan went potty on her little potty chair on the third day! We had setbacks the following day, but, no big deal. From Sunday until now, she tells us when she plans to go potty!

Unreal!

We still need to practice the number 2 in the potty, and having her sit on an actual toilet.

Any tips for transitioning from potty chair to Toilet? We do have a small seat for the toilet, too. Your help would be much appreciated.

Thank you, again!

Regards,
David

Thank you so much for emailing me back. We have great news though, since that day I emailed you we have been completely accident free and no more repeat visits due to sprinkling. Again like with getting him to finally go to the potty, it just clicked and he has done great. Thursday and today when picking him up in his VBS room, he was in the same clothes as the morning with no sprinkles even in his underwear! You have a gift and I truely thank you for God allowing you to share it with all of us that are handicap in this department. My best friend told me yesterday that she was afraid that I was getting my hopes up too high and he might not do it like your book mentioned, then I proudly told her that he got back on track and has done wonderful even at night! Thanks again and keep up your great work!
