Re: Need help on sprinkling! (-:

Friday, June 6th, 2008

Thank you so much for emailing me back. We have great news though, since that day I emailed you we have been completely accident free and no more repeat visits due to sprinkling. Again like with getting him to finally go to the potty, it just clicked and he has done great. Thursday and today when picking him up in his VBS room, he was in the same clothes as the morning with no sprinkles even in his underwear! You have a gift and I truely thank you for God allowing you to share it with all of us that are handicap in this department. My best friend told me yesterday that she was afraid that I was getting my hopes up too high and he might not do it like your book mentioned, then I proudly told her that he got back on track and has done wonderful even at night! Thanks again and keep up your great work!

A little potty training advice please…

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

Lora,

It worked!!!  My daughter, Alana (32 months old) and I did the 3 day pottying method over the Memorial Day weekend.  After Sunday, she did great!  Got the peeing in the potty down with no problem.  She has only had 3 accidents since then and one of them was on the way to the potty. So, I am so proud.  Now the poopy has not been successful.  Just so you know Alana’s bowel habits.  Since Alana was a baby, she pretty much only goes one time a day.  Every now and then it is 2x a day, but that’s few and far between.

Back to Memorial Day weekend.  She did not poop at all on Saturday.  On Sunday, I did the technique, “Tell me when you gotta go pee or poopie, okay?”  She started saying her bottom hurt.  I knew it was coming.  I was right with her like you said.  She never changed expression, stopped what she was doing and said, “Mama, I poopied.”  Sure enough she had. Scooped her up, plopped it in the potty and she sat on potty for 2 seconds.  Lots of praise for “finishing in the potty.”

The next day, she started in her panties, I caught it and she finished in the potty.  Praise, praise, praise.  I had to go back to work on Tuesday.  Alana went back to day care.  She did not poopy at day care at all.  (she usually does it there)  That night, we were playing, I was watching her carefully for any tell tell signs.  None!!!  She looked up and said, “Mama I poopied.”  that is how it has been ever since.  I have been telling her there is a “big prize if she poopies in the potty.” One time last week, I knew it was coming and tried to get her to sit on potty and she was kicking and screaming.  Refused and I didn’t want to “force her,”  so she started in her panties and when I tried to get her to finish on the potty, refused to sit down.  So, what to do?

Alana does not seem afraid.  After she goes we talk about pooping in the potty.  Her poop does not appear hard, so I don’t think it hurts.  She has pooped in grocery stores, kmart, restaurants.  I am still positive and we are still rewarding the peeing part. She does not like the “dirty feeling,”  should I try to make her “feel” it longer before I clean her up?  That seems so gross.  I know this is just week 2, but I feel like we are so close.  Thanks for your help and this program was great.

First day back at Daycare

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Hi Lora

I just wanted to let you know that Milo was able to stay dry all day   long at his first day back at daycare.  It worked!!  I’m so   thrilled.  Thanks again for all your support and advice before and   during the process.  That sure made it easier knowing I wasn’t   alone!  I’ve posted the results on the mommies group site, so with   any luck you’ll be getting more orders soon.

Speaking of which, I would like to give a copy of the book to my   sister for working with her daughter.  Is there a way to give her a   gift certificate or something like that?

Thanks again!  :)

Peeing before bed?

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

My wife and I just completed the 3 Day Training with our daughter, and your system is amazing.  Your techniques, based on love and compassion, fit perfectly with the rest of our parenting and it is exactly what I have been searching for!!  It works so easily and well…thank you for sharing your knowledge!

We just have one hurdle left…our daughter still does not pee before she goes to bed.  This results in an accidend durring the night.  We have been attempting to have her pee twice before putting her down as your book suggests.  Our plan is to just stay consistant with that until she catches on.  Do you have any other suggestions?  I have also been waking her one hour after she goes to sleep and one hour before she wakes, but have the same result…go to the toilet, but no peeing.

Thanks Again!

It clicked!!!! Success! :)

Hi Lora,

Finally an email with just good news!!  I can’t believe it, but we  were  actually able to take Allen out to a restaurant and a fun “Jump Zone” place  with  NO accidents tonight!!

It has finally “clicked” with him and he runs to the potty and  says “I want  to potty” and goes, doing almost everything by  himself!  We reminded him over  and over while we were out, and sure enough,  he told us when he had to go!

THANK YOU so much for this book!  Sorry I had so many frantic  questions, but  this was an exhausting process.  I didn’t want to give  up, but with every  set back, I was worried that there wasn’t an end in  sight.

We’re still waiting on the big “poo poo” in the potty and accident free   nights, but I know they are on the way shortly.

The effort you put into writing this book has been such a blessing to  us.   We are grateful to God for this success, and we thank Him for your  good work  in this book, too!

THANKS!!!!
