potty train a 2 yr old

RE: potty training boys

We are having wonderful success with your program. It “clicked” with our 2 1/2 year old son by the end of the first day, much to our amazement as the only form of potty training before this was begging him to tell us when he need to go and in return getting a firm “NO”. This has not felt stressful at all (except for the initial 10\12 hrs when I was still unsure). We had a great second day, dry pants every time but one, and then only a little dribble on the way to the potty. He has made it through naps and both nights completely dry as well. He even went on demand before bedtime last night. I am so thrilled with this instant progress.

But now I have a couple of concerns; first off, we are at the start of the third day and he has not yet had a bowel movement even though he has eaten well. Would there be anything else you could suggest? I know he understands the concept as we had a couple false alarms where he only passed gas once he is on the toliet. Secondly, when he wakes up dry from nap and overnight, he still is waiting an hour to hour and a half before he is ready to go. If you have any additional tips to offer, I am willing to listen and try!

My son loves feeling like a big boy and bragging to Grand parents and others that he doesn’t need diapers any more. I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful advice you have written what should be common sense, but what we overlook as parents when we are too close to the matter. I will be referring my family and friends to you program as well!!! :)

Thank you,
Laura, Ron and big boy Cameron

Yea!! It worked!! On Tuesday, 5/22, Ian’s teacher said Ian was regressing in his potty training and we needed to work harder so he could move up to the 3 year old class in August. I kept him home on Thursday, 5/24 and started (his 3rd birthday) and by Saturday, 5/26 he was accident free. He went back to school today and his teacher was shocked that we did it so quickly! :) My daughter will be 22 months in a week and I will be keeping her home at the beginning of July to get her trained. Thank you so much!!

I just thought I would let you know that I don’t think I’ll be needing your mentoring services. I purchased your ebook and followed your instructions for my 23 month old daughter last weekend. We spent Saturday, Sunday, and Monday following your technique. I reluctantly took her back to daycare on the 4th day and she has not had one accident since! Thank you so much for your help. We are doing great!

thank you

Dear Lora,

Buying your e-book was the best thing that ever happened to me and my son. My son was 2 1/2 and not close to going on the potty. I was so frustrated and discouraged. So many parents with their words of “expertise”. Boys never get potty trained before they are 3. I was not going to accept that. My son is a smart boy and knows when he needed to go. I got him up early on a Saturday and he was completely potty trained with no accidents by Sunday night. Thank you so much. The book was a huge help.

Friends can not believe that he is potty trained so early. I laugh and tell them about the wonderful book that I purchased.

THANK YOU

Hi Lora,

Just a quick note to let you know how we are getting on. I think we have cracked it! Ethan, my 2 and a half year old, is now officially toilet trained, day and night! We followed your advice and apart from a couple of wee accidents at the start Ethan is doing so well. He is doing both 1’s and 2’s in the toilet and has been dry for a number of nights now.

I didn’t really even know how to go about starting the training and when i saw your website i thought yea right, toilet trained in three days, not a chance!, but Ethan proved me wrong, he has taken to it like a duck to water and I just want to thank you for your advice.

The only thing is my wee baby is not my wee baby any more, he is my wee man, my husband and i will have to get started on baby number 2 now!!

Thanks again Lora, I will keep your advice in mind if hopefully i ever need it again.

Amanda
