Off to a GREAT start

Lora

Your technique worked like a champ. Initially I took about 3 days and did the diapers at nap and nighttime and for outings and could see it was confusing my daughter and really standing in the way of progress. After those 3 days we went with your technique 100% and I am proud to say we are completely off and running and totally dry at naps and bedtime from the time we started your program - NO ACCIDENTS….

Except for BM’s. My daughter is doing great with tee-tee in the potty - I would say she is 95% trained and it hasn’t even been a week yet. But she seems like she is scared to do a BM in the potty. I have heard that its harder to get them (girls) trained in that arena than with tee-tee. I was hoping you might have some tips or confirm that it takes longer on the BM front. I stay with her 100% and I have caught her “in the act” probably three times and each time we go to the bathroom and she gets “stage fright” and then cant do it. We try a couple of times - what happens next is she doesn’t go and then gets borderline constipated. So then I just let her go in her undies for fear of her getting really constipated. My sister who has 2 girls 2 and 4 yrs old told me I better nip this in the bud now or she will get used to it and it will be real hard to get her to go in the potty.

Let me know your thoughts.

Appreciate it - LOVE your technique!!!! It is right on the money. It has been challenging but so incredibly rewarding - I work full time and I took last week off so I could dedicate this time to her and the process. It is all about the child and when you make it that way the results are ASTOUNDING.

You are sooooooo right. I guess that’s it we’re done. Thank you so much. Worth every penny. Wishing you much success. You need to go on the Today Show somehow. This morning I woke him up 30mins before his usual wake up time—-still no accidents. I can’t believe a little over a week ago he was using diapers. WOW!

Just to let you know, I am SO skeptical of claims like those on your website BUT YOU ARE A GENIUS! Our DS was dry after the first night, had a few “accidents” over the weekend but today has told me every single time he had to go!! Once we get the poop in there we will be in business!!!

I am telling all my mom friends about your website!!!!

Hi Lora,

Thanks for your response and support. Hooray! We’re technically on day 5. Yesterday, day 4, Rohan went all day without any accidents! Amazing. And I took him on an outting and he did great! He’s continued to keep his bed dry at nap and nights - 3 nights in a row! It’s all so great. I still feel that we’re in the learning stage - and I’m extra cautious. But I can’t believe how well he’s really doing. I see the next step for us being getting him to sit on a toilet (right now he’s into his little potty). But I’m fine sticking with the potty for a time. Thanks for your method - I found it so helpful. And really one of the best things is your willingness to connect as mentor - that was great. Anyway - just wanted to say thanks and let you know what a success the whole thing has been.

Thanks,

Jenna

We are having wonderful success with your program. It “clicked” with our 2 1/2 year old son by the end of the first day, much to our amazement as the only form of potty training before this was begging him to tell us when he need to go and in return getting a firm “NO”. This has not felt stressful at all (except for the initial 10\12 hrs when I was still unsure). We had a great second day, dry pants every time but one, and then only a little dribble on the way to the potty. He has made it through naps and both nights completely dry as well. He even went on demand before bedtime last night. I am so thrilled with this instant progress.

But now I have a couple of concerns; first off, we are at the start of the third day and he has not yet had a bowel movement even though he has eaten well. Would there be anything else you could suggest? I know he understands the concept as we had a couple false alarms where he only passed gas once he is on the toliet. Secondly, when he wakes up dry from nap and overnight, he still is waiting an hour to hour and a half before he is ready to go. If you have any additional tips to offer, I am willing to listen and try!

My son loves feeling like a big boy and bragging to Grand parents and others that he doesn’t need diapers any more. I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful advice you have written what should be common sense, but what we overlook as parents when we are too close to the matter. I will be referring my family and friends to you program as well!!! :)

Thank you,
Laura, Ron and big boy Cameron
